Maths Brains

Mrs Marlow leads a Maths Club each week. This was a particularly challenging puzzle. No line - vertically, horizontally or diagonally - is allowed to contain the same colour.

Creative Homework

Ancient Egyptian creative homework was outstanding this term. Well done Class 3 (and parents too!)

High Climbers

So many of our Class (including the adults) conquered fears whilst climbing the wall today. Really proud of them!

Looking forward to violin lessons

Class 3 loved learning how to play the violin. We've just found out that we'll have a class set for the term in September.

The Mix Festival

We loved our visit to Uffculme and the Mix Festival - thanks for organising it Mrs Trewin.

Future Wimbledon Champions?

We've had a few coaches from Atlantic Racquet Centre and Tarka Tennis come in and take tennis sessions this week. Definitely a lot of potential tennis stars in Class 3!

Awesome Egyptians

Some amazing creative homework has been created by Class 3 this half term. Well done guys!

Ashing

We've been Ashed! This afternoon we visited St. Helen's church to celebrate Ash Wednesday. Father Richard made the sign of a Cross on our forehead to remind us about the period of lent and its significance.

Playing Fair Trade

Debs came in today and helped us to understand FairTrade better. We played a game (which involved trading and wasn't fair!) - it helped us to understand how unfair some trading was between countries and farmers too.

Yummy Fairtrade

Miss Littlejohns very kindly let us try some Ben & Jerry's Fairtrade ice cream today! Their vanilla is sourced in Uganda and is Fairtrade. What does that mean? Ask a Year 3 child!

Happy New Year!

Today in the our Open the Book story we learned about 10 lepers who Jesus cured. Only ONE came back to thank him!

Sometimes we forget to thank people who help us too! Today we are going to reflect on those people who help us in our lives.
